Why RPET materials become popular?

            There are more and more clients from Europe requiring backpacks and bags to be made of

            recycling materials. Is there any good for backpacks in RPET materials?

            RPET (Recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate) is a new reusable and sustainable materials.
            RPET Fabric is the most common type of plastic resin. It is made from recycled plastic
            (PET) bottles. The bottles are mechanically broken down into tiny flakes and melted to be
            spun into yarn.
            Finally, the yarn is woven into recycled polyester fabric to create trendy products, like
            backpacks, cloths, shoes.

            There are some benefits to put RPET fabric on consuming products:

            1. It could keep plastics from going to landfill and the ocean.
            There are tons of plastic enter the ocean every year. According to NGO Ocean Conservancy, 8
            million metric tons of plastic enter the ocean every year, on top of the estimated 150
            million metric tons that currently circulate in marine environments. If we keep this
            pace,by 2050 there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish.
            And there are many plastic turn to the waste on landfill. To deal with these plastic, every
            government have to invest a lot to transfer, bury or burn it, which affect our environment
            to some extent.
            If to recycle all these plastic, it would be beneficial for humans and fish and our
            environment.

            2. RPET is almost the quality as virgin polyester, but take less energy to make.
            Statistics shown by Greener Fabrics: a leading provider of RPET based fabrics indicate
            (when compared to virgin polyester):
            -85% less energy is required

            -65% fewer emissions: 50-65% less Carbon and Sulphur Dioxide released

            -90% less water required


            3. RPET is so far not a perfect. But it will inspire more and more significant ideas to
            recycle old things to produce new products for our daily using. As time going, the
            techniques for recycle would be improved more and more. All of these would help to decrease
            waster on earth as much as possible, and make our environment with more harmony.
